Holzgasse, Kremsleithen & Kerschbaum
The Holzgasse vineyard is located below the high plateau of Krems, which stretches between Gneixendorf and Senftenberg and is divided by the "Stratzinger Straße". The wind-exposed site, which is characterised by deep loess soils, produces expressive, racy wines. The Kremsleithen is a two-part vineyard. The upper part, which adjoins the Hochplateu, is characterised by a high proportion of loess and old Danube gravel conglomerate - this is why Grüner Veltliner is found here. Our vineyards here are not only captivating because of their terroir, but also because of the particularly high age of the vines. Some vines are over 100 years old and particularly closely planted, so that we can only cultivate them by hand, even though they are located on the plain.
